Indoor Training Overview

We know that riding a bicycle outdoors, especially in Hawaii, is one of the great perks of living in or visiting the islands. However, from time to time it may not be possible to enjoy the great outdoors on your bike. Occasional bad weather, traffic, or simply not wanting to deal with how to structure your next bike workout can all conspire to keep you off your bike. The solution? Indoor riding!

Our indoor cycling studio is one of the best spots to get a high-quality cycling workout done in a minimum amount of time. The best part? You can bring your own bicycle and mount it directly to any one of our six Tacx Neo Smart trainers. These trainers are some of the most technologically advanced and quiet indoor bike trainers available, come equipped with power and cadence sensors, and our large screen TV allows you to easily see your real-time performance during the workout.

Reserve your spot for any one of our regular hour-long sessions today! Our staff and in-house coaches have multiple workouts running each day from the early morning until the evening so that you may get your bike workout done when it is convenient for you.

Tacx Bike Trainers

The Tacx bike trainers are based on the simple principle that riding a bike indoors should feel as much like riding an outdoor bike as possible. For the most interactive and immersive indoor cycling experience Tacs has developed a smart trainer that connects wirelessly to training apps. With automatic controlled resistance the bike trainer will adjust its resistance automatically according to the input from chosen workout or GPS course. Tacx Smart trainers measure your speed, power and cadence, which will be visually displayed on a large monitor.

Spinning Benefits

Spinning builds strength and muscle tone

Contrary to normal perceptions, cycling is not a fitness activity that solely involves the legs. Cycling builds strength in a holistic manner since every single part of the body is involved in cycling.

Spinning increases muscle tone

Cycling improves general muscle function gradually, with little risk of over exercise or strain. Regular cycling strengthens leg muscles and is great for the mobility of hip and knee joints. You will gradually begin to see an improvement in the muscle tone of your legs, thighs, rear end and hips.

Spinning builds stamina

Cycling is a good way to build stamina. It is very effective in doing so, because people enjoy cycling and they wouldn’t really notice that they have gone farther the last time they went cycling.

Spinning improves cardiovascular fitness

Cycling makes the heart pound in a steady manner and helps improve cardiovascular fitness. Studies have shown that cycling to work will increase cardiovascular fitness by 3-7%. Cycling uses the largest muscle groups the legs, raising heart rate to benefit stamina and fitness.

Spinning eats up calories

Cycling is a good way to lose those unwanted pounds. Spinning burns approximately 600-1000 calories per hour. Since it helps build muscle, cycling will also boost your metabolic rate long after you’ve finished your ride.

Spinning improves heart health

According to the British Medical Association, cycling just 20 miles a week can reduce the risk of coronary heart disease by 50%. A major study of 10,000 civil servants suggested that those who cycled 20 miles over the period of a week were half as likely to suffer heart disease as their non-cycling colleagues.

Spinning reduces stress

Any regular exercise can reduce stress and depression and improve well being and self esteem. Cycling outdoors is also a good way to be one with nature and to feel the breath of the earth. It takes one’s mind out of everyday-life stress and rejuvenates his soul.
