They combine the speed and aerodynamics of deep-dish carbon fairings with the convenience and unparalleled braking power of aluminum clincher rims for wheels that are as fast as they are functional. Plus, the SLRs also feature Mavic's wind-cheating carbon aero spokes and precision high-flange hubs to give you that extra boost when it's time to drop the hammer. The included tire is just as nice. Mavic's Yksion is a 127-TPI tire offering sublime ride quality with serious durability. It uses their PowerLink technology, which features a fast-rolling, long-wearing center tread with softer rubber on the sides for excellent cornering grip.
